Why is the A3 3.2Q "not worth the $$" and the VW R32 so hot?

Hmmm, I just had an A4 2.0T Quattro as a loaner
I'm very happy I got my A3 3.2 back. It's more compact, faster, quicker, looks less like a family car, and sounds soooooo much better.
I also missed the auto headlights, wipers, etc...
The A4 is quieter though

A3 3.2 buyers think different, and to my knowledge, every single 3.2 available is getting sold.
That said, I think the R32 weighs significantly less. Crackerboxes do that.
