Default There are other folks out there besides you.

About every other client makes a positive comment about the cassette player! All you need to be is over 35, and you're bound to have some favorite cassettes somewhere.

Ever heard of books on tape?

Default You gotta be kidding me. "Other folks out there besides you"...

ummm okay. I am over 35 thank you very much and I don't want a f'n cassette player alright? Maybe you'd be happy with an 8-track? Sorry but I ditched my cassettes a couple decades ago. Pretty much when CDs came around in the early 80s.

Oh have you ever heard of "reading" a book??

Default Have you ever tried reading a book while you drive?

I understand that you don't need the cassette. Do you understand that others have different needs?

Yeah I eat my breakfast and shave while driving too.

Look, I just personally think that having a cassette player cheapens the look and feel of the interior of Audi vehicles. Do all the other marquee manufacturers have cassette decks in their cars? I'm willing to bet that most people, assuming they didn't opt for the NAV and had a so-called standard audio system in their car..they wouldn't want to have a cassette player. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong.

Perhaps a large majority of Audi drivers love to listen to books on tape.

Default I'm with Timmay on this one (and I'm over 35)

Do they even sell cassettes anymore? The last cassette player I had was in my '99 Golf and that was swapped for an MD player as soon as I got it

Default Third that, and I'm over 45! Gotta get with the digital age...

I don't even use CDs, let alone tapes. None of my cars have tape players (all have iPod interfaces) and none of my computers have floppy drives. Magnetic format is DEAD (floppies, VHS tapes, cassette tapes).

Digital hard content is waning (DVD and CDs). Digital soft content is taking over (video on demand, TIVO, downloadable music, videos and even PODcasts of "books on tape".

Anyone who needs tape is probably 65+ They can't hear that awful hisssssssssssssssssss...
