Default Tape decks are a joke

Do they even still sell tapes? I'd rather a small storage space that the tape deck.

Since there is no aux input, I like the tape deck for running an mp3 player with a tape adapter

Default Oh wait...as long as you activate the Dolby NR feature it should

be okay. But then again if my memory serves me correctly...you can't hear the damn music anymore after that because it's too quiet!!

Isn't an FM adapter technically better (and neater) though?

Better is probably subjective (I had one and felt it worked and sounded fine), but there is no doubt to FM is cleaner looking. The "wire out of the tape deck" looks very ghetto.

Default Neater yes, better no

Especially if you live in an area with lots of radio stations. I live in the metro detroit area and FM transmitters are worthless around here.

Default Agreed! Why dump still useful old tech.

Sure I use the CD player more, but I put a lot of my classic vinyl recordings on tape and don't have time or patience to go through the process again. As tech evolves, it doesn't mean throwing out what went before, just choosing what works best for you. Like, just because I have a microwave, it doesn't mean I'm never using the stove or the oven again. Or running out and buying a recordable DVD when the VCR still works. Or dumping a great-running classic car because it doesn't have the latest gadgets. I could go on.
