All you guys have one thing in common, otherwise you wouldn't be posting on the internet board....
but try to understand others? I agree with all of you but have understanding. Though, if Audi really wanted to keep those in the cars I would think they should throw a CD changer in there as a standard - not even sure if it is or not, but it would give both sides what they want.

Why can't we get a simple input jack?

Still plenty of good feedback for including a tapedeck. Once demand goes away, then they will

Why does Audi even include a radio or other audio device at all?
I mean, everybody has an Ipod, right? Why do we even need to waste the precious space that is in the center stack and use it for storage?
When that Ipod is obsolete, which is coming soon by the way, another device will take it's place, and we won't even need to carry it, it will be embedded.
It is pretty upsetting that Audi put a sound system in my car to begin with, as all owners have ripped it out within the first few miles anyway.
God, what the ****** hell is wrong with everybody anyway?

Well over 50 here.. People still use analog tapes?
I used to copy LP's to reel-to-reel, then casette, but it was too time consuming to do much. Never bought pre-recorded tapes either. I just waited for CD's :-)
Now, I've ripped most of my 500 CD's to WMA's (Which I'll have to re-do as MP3's for playing in NAV system. )
Haven't played a casette or VHS or LP in many years now..

Miss the cassette deck
Since we bought sport package we did NOT get the tape get option.. i miss it every day since i'm not sold on any of the iPod configuration options. We used to just pop in a cassette adapter and iPod is golden. 15 bucks is all it takes for an adapter.. the only so/so thing is the cable hangs down from the console but that didn't bother me personally very much at all.
oh well.. i'll keep waiting for someone to get it right
