Why I still dig Murano.... aka.... Fall detail..............
Well, the day did not start out good, weatherwise. And since I work most weekends, I had slated today cause I was off. so, ran some errands, and by 1, sun. and it stayed behind some sweet clouds most of the time so I lucked out. I'm telling you, I'm half tempted to use a clay bar with every wash ;-),amazing. anyway, Dawn wash; clay; Dawn wash. a really good dry. Polish w Menzerna Final Polish II; then 3M Hand Glaze, and the Murano was just on fire, like new paint. Had picked up a scratch here and there; gone. I also clayed the roof, and the windshield. Last, put the Menzerna FMJ everywhere, including the roof. Then I waited, you gotta let this stuff dry. I have this old Sears orbital that takes 6" micro bonnets, I use that to take everything off. Then finish up by hand w a MF towel. did all the black w Mother's Back to Black. Rain x applied by hand, then buffed off. Lexol Vinylex here and there. I'm sure I've missed something. Oh, Winter mats in. ReJex on the wheels; that'll stay on overnight.

Vedddy noice!
I was able to get both cars washed, vacuumed, rubber treated. Didn't have to clay bar, polish or seal because I did that whole shebang two weeks ago.
What I got done with both cars today:
Pressure wash (fender liners too)
Adams Shampoo with MF mit
409 Cleaner on fender liners and rims (applicantion, then hit with pressure washer)
Open hose and drenched each car to rinse off Adam's Shampoo)
MF towel dry
Air compressor to blow out seams and door jams
Wiped down again with MF to catch blown out water
303 Protectant on tires
Adam's detail spray in door jams, bottom of the hood wipe down, hatch jams
Adams "In and Out" on black trim/grill
Stoner's Glass cleaner in side and out
Vacuum
Adam's Detail Spray
Adams Undercariage spray
Rim Wax

'daddy, do you have a family or a life?
How do you have the time to do all this, get on the computer to update us and surely mess around on some other sites?
I detailed my A3, and it took about 8 hours total to get er done. I have to ask you though, what does your front end look like in terms of rock chips and road rash? My car has that stuff and the product gets in there and leaves little white spots. And what does the upper surfaces look like inside the garage under flourescent lights? I can't get all the "acid rain" stuff out of the paint short of sanding the clear coat. I got all the swirls no prob, it is the little "amoeba" looking things in the paint I have problems with.
Beautiful job I must add.

Remember, I wear a bra..........
so thats that. but that carries it's own set of problems when you are detailing. Product loves to get in under the edges of the bra. but the trade off is worth it. that was a 4 hour detail. thats prolly the only down time all weekend.....lawn, etc. It also was my dgts Bday. we had a brunch for 20 at Rae in the Cira Centre. awesome. but under the lights, my paint glistens.I do know what you describe. every now and then nearing a full detail, I may see some of that, but clay and polish does the trick. maybe try a diff polish.
