As a ski bum, I park my car at the resort 7 days a week....meaning it sits through a lot of snow storms. So normally when I park a warm car, and it's snowing like mad, I put my wipers up so I can clean the window easily when returning, and they don't freeze to the window....
however, on the A3, this is not possible, the hinge point is low enough that they won't clear the hood...in fact, what is the point in the hinge if you can't move them...if i put the wipers on, and shut the car off quickly, they still return to ground 0, unlike old cars.
am i missing something, or is this just how it is??

Turn the car off but before opening the door push down on the wiper handle and the wipers will go up to midway and stop so you can lift them away from the windshield. You can also get in the car and turn the key to the AUX position and than off with the door opened or closed
