Woo Hoo got chipped (x-post)
Sorry for the cross-post, but I'm so jazzed right now. Just returned from getting my baby chipped (APR91). It was painful to drive in traffic for 30 miles on the way back to the office, but the difference is truly astounding. The car is begging me to accelerate. The acceleration is so strong, it feels like the car weighs 800 lbs less. The power band is extremely smooth, and I'm at redline much more quickly than pre-chip.
Now the challenge will be resisting the temptation to dump $$ immediately into things that the chip highlights as weak spots (i.e. tires, brakes). But there's certainly some enjoyment to be had in the meantime with the extra power!
The guys at EuroCode in Torrance were great to deal with -- highly recommended. They even threw in some VAG-COM goodies.
