Default Wooohooo... S3 arrived at last...

I have just driven my 2001 Ming Blue S3. All I can say is; it was worth the wait.

I am taking it steady for the first 500 miles but I could not believe the torque in fifth & six gears even at low speeds, nevermind 1st to 4th.

I thought the Williams Clio would take some beating but this is awesome.

I will add some photos next week.

first impressions... I luuuurve it !

I also nearly ordered Ming Blue, it was a choice between that and Volcano Black, I chose Black probably cause I'm young! but Ming Blue is very nice, my old man has just bought an A6 2.8 quattro in this colour so in hindsite it's probably a good thing I didn't!

Default Small dealer logo on boot anbody know how to remove it ?

Opposite side to new S3 logo only a small transfer type, says " Voets " - dealer name.

Anybody know a safe way to remove the transfer type logo without affecting the paintwork ?

Thanks in advance,

Ade.

Ade, you might be better off asking (telling) the dealer to remove it in case you damage the paintwork. I insisted that there were no dealer stickers ANYWHERE on my car, including on the numberplates, but surprise surprise when I collected it there was a huge "Reg Vardy" sticker in the rear window. I made sure they removed it as it was partly covering the heated rear screen element and if it was damaged I would rather they took the blame.

Congratulations on your choice of car by the way! I'm green with envy (but hope to organise myself into ordering an S3 soon...after I've moved house that is!)

Cheers

James
