2017 A3 -- FWD vs Quattro

You may want to compare the trunk: It's significantly smaller in the Quattro.
I quite happy with my FWD A3, and while the Quattro definitely is more "grippy", it doesn't matter much for me on the daily commute. It's fun, but I couldn't justify the extra cost and slightly lower millage.

We just picked up our E-Tron today, it's a really nice car even to the point of being surprising so.
We've had A4 FWD sedan but chipping that car did mean wasting rubber on the fronts. Also, A4 Quattro wagon and 225QTTR. Those were great too, great performance and needed for us living in New England.
Now living in California, the E-tron checks a bunch of boxes - no gas for most of our local driving, little bit of kick back by the government and car pool lane as icing. FWD has it's place.
