2018 S3 Prestige Mirrortap install help
Just picked up a new 2018 S3 with the Prestige package and one of the first things I want to do is install my radar detector (Escort 9500ix). I ordered a new blendmount for my mirror but I want to reuse my old Mirrortap wire. This is what my mirror looks like:
I removed the top panel (directly above the mirror), but there is no yellow wire as other guides have said to use, and there are multiple brown wires:
Here is a close up of the wires on the bottom and the right sides:
Which wires should I tap? I think mine looks different because of the Prestige package (it has the lane detection camera and some other sensors stuffed up there). Also, I don't see a wire harness to tap into anywhere except on the right side.

Generally what I have to do when I switch vehicles is use a voltmeter and look for constant 12V if I can get to the back of the plugs to easily probe. Make sure it stays 12V after moving so you're not tapping a sensor signal wire.

I have a 2018 S3 Prestige and tapped the red and brown wires referenced in this thread to install my radar detector. The switched power turns detector off/on with engine (but detector stays on if auto stop/start is enabled)
