My A3 does not detect items in the garage in front of me as I am pulling in. In reverse the front sensors are on? Is this the way this car operates? Other non-Audi vehicles sense objects as we are pulling on the garage?

My S3 detects items in front and rear (close to the side of the garage) as I pull into the garage. In reverse, all sensors are on.

I had a 2015 A3 with parking sensors and it didn’t automatically turn on when pulling into the garage, however in my 2017 with the updated MMI it does. Hope that helps?

I have a "16 A3. I finally figured out that there is a switch on the dash that activates it.

I wish Audi included the 4 sensors by the wheel wells. Those would really help prevent you from curbing your wheel against the street curb. Currently the Audis don't provide a all-around sensor detection like the Euro-cars.
