A3 Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) Issues
Hello,
I've searched around for some answers but haven't been able to find much information regarding the Passenger Occupant Detection System in the A3 (2015 A3 Premium Plus Quattro).
We have had issues with the passenger airbag indicator turning on (turning off airbag) while a passenger was in seat also saying seatbelt wasn't latched when it was. Shop says PODS sensor failure. $1200 installed to fix, about 1 month out of warranty. Doing some research I found the A6/A7 recall on the PODS. I was wondering if anyone knows are the same sensors used across multiple models? Has anyone else had this issue?
