Per my Audi salesman, the plastic oil pan drain plug is a one time use. Once it's taken out, you'll have to purchase and install a new one. Audi only uses oil extractors now on their vehicles.

This is the one I have:
Multi-Fluid Extractor - Griot's Garage
Going to pick one up myself! Great price! I plan on changing the oil every 5000 miles alternating between myself and the dealership doing it under Audi Care. Thanks for the post!

Visiting from Q3 (gen 2 for me) forum.
Going back to early in thread, yes the drain plug is plastic if you want to do it that way. Either a typical mid size Philips or flat blade screwdriver fits in it. ECS (or dealer) sells them for a few bucks. On new Q3, the oil spec is now OW-20 508.
As stated, dealers are typically siphoning out dipstick hole. They were on my 2013 Q5 2.0T too, even though it has a steel pan and conventional drain. On my S8 4.0T, the oil filter is on the bottom, so it forces them to pull belly pan. More than anything, it is that position of the oil filter that determines whether dealer does it from above or below.
