Hi friends,
I very recently traded in my 2015 Audi S3 for a new 2018 S3 and there's quite a few changes (virtual cockpit, MMI, etc)
One of my biggest pet peeves I've noticed is my old 2015 S3 utilized the full screen for my backup camera when parking. I could see everything clearly including the markings and sensor warnings.
On the new 2018 S3, the rear camera only displays on HALF the screen while the right half is the sensor graphics. I find this really weird because now i'm trying to see in this tiny box.
So the question is if it's possible to change it back to full screen? Or i've seen somewhere you can display the backup camera on your virtual cockpit? I've tried looking through all the settings but can't find anything so any insight would help
Anyone have any suggestions? It's my biggest gripe and I'd love to find a way to enable full screen again for the rear parking camera! The parking sensors as an overlay on the full screen of how my 2015 model was perfect
I've attached 2 pictures to help detail what I'm running into
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! This was how my 2015 S3 camera was- full screen I pulled this from the internet but it's similar to what I'm experiencing now - it's a split screen for rear parking and it's extremely hard to view. Is there an option to change back to full screen?
This is the result of the higher resolution screen equipped on your 18 MY and the camera control module putting out a lower resolution. I looked into this several times and unfortunately, there is no solution via coding.
