Default Black optics package or not
All...you helped us out with the last quandary (Daytona Grey chosen!) ...now black optics package. I really enjoy different perspectives - opinions please? M wife will be primary driver with our university kids as # 2 and # 3 if that makes any difference because I do think BO makes it look sportier. The cost of the option either way doesn't matter. I don't suppose anyone has a side by side comparison do you...????

its really a personal preference. one thing to note is that the non black optic 19's weigh about 21lbs and the black optic 19's weigh close to 30lbs iirc.

I love BO. Makes the car look sporty. I'm not a fan of chrome. So yea,

That is a bummer that the bo package got a raw deal there.

However, it does have black paddles

Really - Why???...the wheels on the Black Optics are the same as the ones on the advanced handling package (19") aren't they - both color and weight. ? I thought the BO was only the grill, window trim and rear valence painted in black otherwise the cars were identical if both ordered with the Advanced Handling Package..?

17s aren't ordered with advanced handling package.

You can order dynamic or black optic dynamic.

dynamic is chrome, mag ride, forged split 5 spoke 19" wheels

black optic dynamic is black trim, mag ride, titanium colored v spoke 19" wheels

Take a look at the links i posted to the pics.

I wasn't aware there was a distinction...that isn't on our Canadian web-site. Time to call my SA to get that sorted.

diztek is correct. while i do like the black trim on the windows and grill- i prefer the forged wheels on the non BO with magride. they look cooler and are much lighter. you can always vinyl wrap the trim later on

i also prefer the aluminum mirrors
