I'm really disappointed with the transmission in my 2015 A3. I really wish there was an option for a fully manual transmission without getting into an S.

I love the transmission on my S3. I would never go back to the Old-School Clutch pedal manual.

I do enjoy a manual car but I enjoy DSG as a daily driver even more.

I don't like the shifts points. D doesn't hold the gears long enough or is jumpy if you stomp on it and S holds the gears right up to redline. I would like something in between.

Drive it in manual mode. I'm very used to it now even though I doubted after the last 12 years of driving manual

I agree. My last car with DSG had three modes. 2 modes isn't enough.

I do from time to time, and if i did it enough I might like it more. What I don't like about manual mode is one I don't have the feel of the stick position to know what gear I'm in and the little gear selection display on the dash is not very helpful and I have to think about which way to bump the handle to shift up or down. I have to use it more so that I don't have to think about it.

Is there anyway to change the shift perimeters with vag-com?

+1... The DSG has four modes. D automatic, D manual, S automatic and S manual. Use the fully automatic modes for convenience when just puttering around and the manual modes for everything else. The DSG in the A3 is not the most exciting implementation, I give you that. I had an A3 as a loaner a few times and it's a very boring car, but a nice DD.
