The power driver seat on my 2015 Audi A3 8V shifts when coming to a sudden or abrupt stop. It seems to occur enough to be annoying. Dealer has checked all bolts and test drove, but cannot reproduce(naturally. I believe its the seat attachment to the frame.
Any thoughts...anyone experience this on the new A3/S3? or perhaps A4?

If it's similar to what I've experienced in the past then it sadly seems to be a moderately common problem with Audis for years. It seems to be the lash or slack in the screw drive mechanism of the seat adjusters. If possible try adjusting your seat all the way to one extreme, all the way back or all the way down and see if it stops then that's it. Unfortunately the only way to fix it completely would be to replace the seat or if possible the adjustment mechanism but you'd have to convince your dealer of the problem first. I had this done on my B5 but the problem came back over time. Fortunately I could still comfortably drive that car with the seat all the way back so that ended up being my permanent solution. Sorry.

I had a 2003 VW Passat that had this issue from the moment I took delivery. It was a really small wiggle, but it irritated me to no end. Every time I took the car in for service, the VW mechanics tightened everything imaginable, but could never fix the issue. After about two years of this annoyance, another VW dealer replaced the entire SEAT BACK FRAME and the problem disappeared. Don't live with it. It may be a common issue on VW/Audis, but as the last service manager I saw told me, "no seat should move - ever."

Thanks for the replies!.. gk1 interesting you mention moving the seat back all the way back, forward and then up and down. That has helped for certain periods before returning..
I will definitely push harder with this since given the more technical analysis of the problem.
