Reason: Add details ....
It uses The Camera to read the traffic signs. It's shown in the Virtual Cockpit. It flashes when you go over. You can set how much you want to be able to go over before getting the warning 5, 10 or 15 in the MMI config menu.

Ah thanks.
Would love to know how you enabled the subwoofer gain, as would hundreds of others with 17s.
Wow nice car, nice mods.
Did you use anything else than VCDS for that?
Was pretty easy to do Mirror Dip and Power gauge but I guess Google Maps / Street view with Sim Card, Subwoofer base gain and Traffic Sign recognition are more complicated to do… I’m not seeing those with VCDS.
Could you please explain to us how you did it?
I did all the mods with OBD11 so with VCDS, you should have all you need.
You are right, the Mirror Dip and Power gauge are not that complex, but I had more digging to do on the Google Maps / Street view with Sim Card.
First thing, you will see that in 2017 AUDI S3, even if you have the sim card, AUDI hasn't connected the LTE antenna the roof top antenna. That means the first reason why nobody can make it work is that they have no network connectivity. If you are next to a cell tower !00meters, it will work. I had to buy and modify an LTE antenna and plug it into the back of the MMI unit in the right plug. Then, after getting the right coding, I had connectivity !!! It looks more complicated than it is really.
