I agree. I always used the Audi OEM all weather mats. And in the deep of winter, the mats would have accumulated melted snow (and salt/deicer) that would spill over on the edge and stain my carpeting.
So it is another reason to try the WeatherTech's.

I remember reading a couple years ago that the Weathertech mats can get really slippery, especially if you aren't wearing rubber soled shoes. Can any of you folks advise if that is still an issue?

I had the dealer include an Audi trunk liner as part of the deal because it has a raised edge that keeps spills/liquids contained but I did not bother for floor mats because I knew Weather Tech as going in my car!

I got my dealer to throw in the a3 weather mats, trunk liner and the cargo net. I ended up getting the weathertechs myself but the a3 weather mats were good for the rear, since it doesn't seem like weathertechs will have the rears anytime soon.
