I recently purchased a flat bottom S-line steering wheel for my recently acquired 2017 A3 Premium and proceeded to swap it out. I've done this many times in the past for other cars like my Passat and older Audi's to 2014. Most where either plug and play or required minor coding.

Once I plugged the steering wheel in, I noticed that the tiptronic buttons lit up, but does not work while driving. I tried looking in VAG-COM and found nothing that turns on tiptronic. What I did notice was that the tipronic connected to the multifunction button which has 4 wires in the harness. However the connector cable from the harness to the main yellow plug to for the airbag, only has 3 wires. is this maybe the signal wire for the tiptronic/paddle shift functionallity?

Does anyone have a pin out diagram for the main plug for the steering wheel airbag plug? Or know where to code this? I am hoping it is something simple like a repair wire. If it requires a reflashed or upgraded ECU, that would suck. Even replacement buttons would be doable. I've done enough of these, but never ran into this. I've read may pre facelift folks doing it plug and play and or just swapped from one tiptronic wheel to another. But not from a 2017 Premium wihout it to one with it.
