Here is the pin out diagram for the switch itself:

And here is the wiring that I executed for my remote:

Just to confirm, I bought my 2015 S3 last night and it has Homelink installed just to the left of the control for the sunroof.

I don't remember the cost, if anyone is interested I can find it in the paperwork.

Thanks Valboo so you added a an extra relay to trigger the remote control ?

Also the RJN labels, what dpo they mean ?

Any reason you did not just interrupt the NO switch contact in the garage remote, and put it between pins 2&3 ?

I would love to do this interior mod, but sadly, I do not possess the talent to mess with my car like this. There is no doubt I would screw it up and probably scratch up every part on the center console.

Hi there,
I chose to introduce a relay since my garage remote operates on lower voltage (3 volts). I wanted to have the RED indicator light to come on when pressing the button but sadly at 3 volts it would not light up. Therefore I had to use a 9 volt battery and then a small relay to engage the remote door opener. After, I bundled all this into a small plastic project box.

...The RJN labels were simply a reminder for me on which color wire I was using in my circuit.

hope this helps...

I found this step down voltage regulator via ebay. Got it in the mail today (took a few weeks from China) but this might help so you don't have to change batteries all the time. Bought this for a secondary powered microphone (I need 12V to 1.5V instead of changing batteries all the time) for my android system in the car...

I like the switch mod you did. I am curious if we could put it together with the home link module that the port is installing. It might be easier to wire, and better than cutting the headliner...

Awesome mod! I think you just gave me an idea to use this switch for a different function. Did BKS include a connector and pigtail? If not how did you attach your wiring to the respective pins?

I might reach out in a few weeks to see if you can help me out with a little project Thanks for all the pics on removing trim as well

You are welcome; I am glad it was helpful.

There was no connector unfortunately. I went to the dealer but the connectors were too expensive.

I had to use a relay socket i had on hand that fit the switch prongs. Then when everything was working i glued it to make sure it would never accidently slip off.
