Default New S3 Ordered

Hi all!

I ordered my car about 5 weeks ago, and I got my first email update from the dealer! He sent me what looks like a copy of the order guide codes.

2016
Carline
A3 Sedan
Model
8VS51L - S3 Sedan 2.0T quattro S tronic
Exterior
N9N9 - Misano Red pearl effect
Interior
XG - Black
Required Options
Factory Options
9VS - Bang & Olufsen Sound System, PC2 - Red brake calipers, PNK - Technology package, PPT - Wheel & Tire package - see order guide for details, PX2 - LED headlights, WTP - Fine Nappa Leather package - see order guide for details
Port Installed Accessories
AMI - iPod Cable For Audi Music Interface - no charge, ATT - Audi Connect - ATT, S3M - Audi Guard premium textile floor mats
Order Type
SOLD - Customer Sold Order

$52,330

I was assuming that this means that Audi now has the order for my car? How long was the wait for yours once the order had been placed? I'm just beyond excited for my car to arrive, it's been a long time coming!

I ordered my 2013 RS5 in October, 2012. Delivered February 8, 2013. Your situation may vary.

You don't say where you live. East Coast 2.5 to 3 months. West Coast 3 to 3.5 months. Guess you have about 2 months left.

I ordered mine on July 10th, Took delivery about November 16th. I live on the West Coast so it had to go through the Panama Canal.

When you car is loaded onto the ship, you can ask your dealer to find out the name of the ship it's on and then you can track it as it comes across the ocean! You just google the name of the ship and Marine Traffic sites will pop-up!

Good luck with the wait! It's agonizing!

Yours took even longer due to Audi's shutting down production (everyone on vacation) in August for 2 weeks I believe.

I live in Wisconsin, so not sure where exactly it will be shipped up from. I would assume it gets delivered to the east coast though.

Your car will come in through one of the East Coast ports, they start up in Canada and work their way down. Tracking your car from order through delivery is not one of Audi's strengths - very little available information compared to others.

Good luck with your order and enjoy your S3 when it arrives! I ordered my S3 in early July 2015. Was delivered 30 September. The first in Ohio, as I was told. It was a rare car at the time obviously. I've checked my dealer's website the past few days as my wife might get a Q5 and see there are 6 S3s available for immediate sale. Not so rare anymore unfortunately! LOL. But still an awesome car. So happy with mine. The wait is worth it.
