OBDeleven vs Carista

I have tried both and wound up returning Carista in favor of OBDEleven. Many of the mods in Carista just did not work on the facelift S3.
OBDEleven has worked very well and allows you to perform some long coding. As for the credits, you can watch and ad to earn a credit. Seem to be limited to 5 free credits per day or you can pay for additional ones.
Another thing to note, I ran the diagnostics in both apps and OBDEleven found more than Carista did. OBDEleven also allows you to clear the codes.
Either way, I'd go with OBDEleven over Carista.

Kgray, there should be something under the apps for resetting the inspection, same for you nadman, should be under apps. You can also google, Deutsche auto parts service reset light, for example, and find a video.
I've had the same issues as ThatBlueS3 with my 17 S3. None of the apps have worked so far and I've been too lazy to research long coding on them, but I believe obdeleven is the better deal. Also note with some cars, you can reset the service light without a device. I think the A3/S3 and mk7 VW can be done without a device.

Still thinking about what to buy but OBDeleven looks the way to go.
Can someone tell me how much credits I need to use per twiks and do I need also credits for scan and fix the codes/errors?

You don't need any credits to do what you also do for free with vcds, adaptations, code reading/clearing/long coding etc. You only need credits if you want to use "apps" which do the coding for you. They range from 10-100 credits.

Thanks, but then again, that's the benefit that it promises and I don't like constantly paying extra for. VAGCOM works good enough, though none of them I would consider optimal for us folks that are just tring to tweak settings and do basic stuff.
