Comfort mode just means super soft shock settings, so it probably would cause some bouncyness upon bumps and dips.

I drove an S3 with regular suspension.

As long as the car doesn't vounce in normal or dynamic mode then you should be fine -- else you may have blown shocks.

My IS is on full stock suspension now (selling the car soon for the S3), and it definitely feels very soft and does bounce a little when I hit slightly bigger bumps or dips.

I have a 2009 IS250 AWD (2IS), hitting 6-years soon so it's time for a change.
I know the 3IS has defective rear shocks from factory, many people's F-Sport was blown after few months of use.

Very few people complained about the defective shocks on 3IS but it is true it happened as I read some instances on Clublexus. Now mine was a rock solid car. 22K miles not a single issue. Lexus in fact it on its own league when it comes to reliability.

Toyota perks sacrifice performance potentials for reliability.

Yup yup that is the reason i switched back to Audi. My only wish is that Audi finally fixes its pretty horrendous reliability.
