Default 225/45-18 on A3??

Has anyone swapped to 225/45-18 from stock 225/40-18 tires? I'm thinking of doing this to achieve a more comfortable ride and want to know if there will be any clearance issues on a '23 A3 with sport suspension. Thx

Assuming the same wheel you're running now, there will be no rubbing. But, you need to look at the other differences and decide if they matter to you:

Rubbing is my primary concern. I'm probably OK with the other differences. Are you running 225/45-18's? Thx.

For 5 winters I have been running 225/45-18 (235 does not fit) on my RS3. The clearance for the front wheels to the forward wheel well is tight when turning, but never had any rubbing. That is with 8 inch wheels. The big issue with the RS3 is finding wheels that clear the front calipers, but that should not be a problem with an A3.
