Hmm, I don't see any fake exhaust design elements on this A3, do you?

I don't know about others, but the silver part at the bottom of the bumper looks like two fake exhausts to me. It looks quite similar to the exhausts on a mk7 golf.

It's because of Insurance purposes. If you get hit from behind and the rear bumper etc is hit, the exhaust does not get damaged.
