Anyone else notice noises when you cause either rear shock/spring to compress. I kept noticing a crunchy/creaky nose in the mornings when reversing out of the driveway. Decided to open the rear doors on each side and step up. This compresses the suspension and results in an odd noise coming from the shock/spring on that side.
Anyone experience.

Not sure about the rears on the A3, but on various models Audi installs shipping blocks to keep the car from moving much during the trans-Atlantic journey. Once in a while dealers forget to remove them all - you can check them yourself visually and see if there any colorful plastic wedges stuck in the coils.
