Harshness of sports suspension?

The profile's pretty low, and the tire can't have too much compliance or you'll damage your wheel. Properly inflated, the tire will be almost perfectly round.

I added a REAR SWAY BAR and my handling was improved big time. We have a very weak (hollow) factory rear sway bar. When you install a solid sway bar, it elimates twisting. The H&R bar weighs about 3 times the factory bar. I installed it in 1 hour in my own driveway, backed out. Did a 3 point turn, haven't gone over 4 mph and I had already noticed the difference.
I will note that you need a special tool kit to handle this install. A special set of sockets. Similiar to torx, but they are 12pts instead of 6. They are called Triple Square. Not common, so call around. A kit could cost as little as $10. I elected to spend $40 on a top quality set from MAC.
Call around to your auto part stores. Most likely they won't have any idea what you are talking about. They could be marketed as VW sockets.

Once we got across the construction zone it was amazing. None of the understeer found on the GLI. Incredibly neutral for a front-driver.
On the way back to the dealership I was extra careful traveling through the construction zone. It didn't help.

I was an early adopter for this car. I purchased my M6 with SP and 4 season treads in May and it arrived in June. I had only driven a premium pakage previosly.
I had to have the SP because I had always wished I had it on my 99 A4.
The first 2 months I had it I must admit it was harsh. The short wheelbase also probably has a lot to do with it. I've even apologized to passengers about the ride.
I now have over 8k on the car and it has settled down a bit. If you are concerned about the ride you might strongly consider the PP.
Finally...I do really like my seats. I really dislike the Pirelli 4 seasons.
