My 2014 A5 trunk keeps popping open ! Some days I get up and look outside and the trunk is open! What could cause this. I'm not sitting on the fob or accidentally hitting it.

Could be poor engagement of the latch? If you push on the lid some after locking the car, does it seem solidly latched?
The latch is electrically actuated. Could be a wiring fault.
Unfortunately, I don't think the B8 J393 has the central locking event history to review like I've seen in the B9 J393 values.
When you do come out to see the trunk open, if you look at the alarm light on the driver's door, is it normal slow flashing, or not flashing, or fast flashing (assuming you had previously locked the vehicle)?
Should certainly scan for DTCs using VCDS or such; see if the car is already aware of issues.
And check the back right corner behind the cover panel for water.
