Default 2018 Audi S5 Reliability?

Hey guys I am looking to purchase a used 2018 S5 and was wondering if any of you long term owners would pitch in on its reliability. I was looking to pick one up that current has around 40k miles, one owner, clean title. How reliable is this car? Any issues I should be aware of when purchasing a used S5?

Overall in terms of major functionality there are few reports of significant problems. I had a blown engine thermostat and airbag within the first few months, both covered under warranty. I haven't had any other real mechanical issues to date.

There are however plenty of complaints, including my own, regarding interior RATTLES. Whether you find that bothersome or not is a matter of personal OCD level, and to be fair some say their S5's are dead silent. Personally if I was to buy another S5, I would need to be able to test drive it to see if it was rattle free, and most of all if it has the B&O system, play some tracks to see if its one of the many that have severe distortion from the door speakers when playing bass. The issue with the B&O system seems to be the most common and has cost me untold hours of misery.

I purchase a 2016 S5 3.0T last summer with 60K and she runs like a dream. Put good winter tires on her and the AWD Quattro, it's such a great car in the winter as well. Must have traction control on !!! Nope if she's clean, runs well, has decent service records, I would go for it. Mine also has B&O, love the sound.

Good luck,

2015 S5 owner, now with almost 90k miles. Only problems were a speed sensor and a wheel bearing; I take it to the dealer for all service. The car still drives like the day I bought it and I don't notice any annoying rattles (and it was a CPO).

2018 S5 SB prestige with 19k miles. No problems, no rattles. Only service has been the required oil changes, software fix on on the overhead camera default and a recall for loose bolts under the driver seat. I switched from Acura to Audi 3 years ago and my Audi has much better reliability.
