I have a new RS5 Sportback. One of the non negotiables is a roof rack. I was able to get my sales team to include an OEM rack with the sale. I mounted it up without issue, however it very clearly mounts OVER the sun roof, on the edges specifically. My fear is if it were accidentally opened, it would cause the glass on the roof to fracture.

Can I, through OBD11, deactivate the sun roof? I have looked through the adaptions and long coding options, but I am not sure what might work. Any advice?

Digging up and old thread...but did you ever find a solution for this? Looking into a roof box, but would hate to have the sun roof open on accident and the whole thing break.

I never did find a solution. I have however been very carefully opening and closing the sun shade for 2 years now.
