So I noticed the Q7 has an illuminated overhead console and I wanted to try to retrofit it to my car. They also have cool little illuminated accent rings around the interior spot lights. So I ordered a Q7 console and proceeded to tear it a part!
It has a smoked clear plastic center where ours are piano black. The Q7 console circuit board has 8 more Leds soldered to it to illuminate this plastic diffuser.
It seems to work great now that I sorted the coding issue I had. The coding issue caused the same issue with the original console it wasn't related to the Q7 electronics.

Top left look like Wera screwdrivers. They are no joke. I have a ratcheting one. I really want a set of the Wera joker wrenches.
The right ones are the craftsman diamond tipped set, they are great as well. I definitely have my fair share of tools but I do have toolbox envy right now. Nice setup.
But but.. the motorized lifting speakers! Can you give us more details? Those are looking doope!
How is the sound quality? How well those works with B&O? (considering those are 3D spekears)
The Q7 dome light turns out its a straight swap, unplug the old one, in with the new one, then clear up a tons of codes from the relevant modules, and it should be good to go. Things that you will get from this mod is the extra ambient light from the 2 map lights surround, extra dome light in the clear part, and the 'Rear' only dome light mode works too.
