I'm considering getting 10mm spacers on the front & back and have a few questions 🤔 and concerns. The only mod that comes into play are the ABT lowering springs.
Is there any concern with the tires rubbing?
Is an alignment required afterwards?
How do they get mounted? Do the spacers come with flush studs that mount them to the car, or do I buy longer studs that go through the wheels & spacers?
Scrub radius change. Can this be corrected by an alignment? Is this anything to be worried about?
Is there any concern with the tires rubbing? Stock wheels I presume? Many members run 15mm spacers without problems.
Is an alignment required afterwards? Never heard of needing an alignment.
How do they get mounted? Do the spacers come with flush studs that mount them to the car, or do I buy longer studs that go through the wheels & spacers? The spacers usually comes with the longer bolts included.
Scrub radius change. Can this be corrected by an alignment? Is this anything to be worried about? Not if you keep the wheel and tire diameter very close in size to the stock OEM tire.
What are the downsides of using spacers? This is my favorite answer: You will have problems if you go too big like this, with just 10mm should have no issues.
Hey @Chris Wiest , thanks for the link! Those may be the ones I go with. Sorry, but I have to ask the same question; do you get any rubbing? (signed "paranoid driver")
No worries, I’m out of town so I can’t take a specific photo of the look, but here is one from a few days ago. Admittedly not the best angle for a car photo in general or showing the wheels.
I have zero issues with rubbing even at full turn and haven’t noticed any difference while driving in terms of handling or feel.
I should also mention EMD got them to me very quickly- within a few days.
