Ok - Weather finally got nice yesterday so I threw on the spacers and gave the car a quick wash to get rid of the inch thick layer of yellow pollen.
Pictures aren't ideal - it's hard to find the best framing that really captures the look of the wheels in comparison to the fenders as well as the splash guards. Evening sun wasn't helping either. Anyway, this is the with the 15mm rear, 12mm front, on stock suspension with the stock 18" wheels. These spacers seem to be just about the perfect size, any larger and I would worry about rubbing and too much poke. Definitely gives the car a more "sporty" look.
I'm sitting at the dealership having my splash guards and spacers installed. I just learned from the service technician that the parts were installed and that all four wheels are rubbing when the car goes over the slightest bump. 😪

Bummer - which wheels (offset) and size tires did you have again?
So you're effectively ET7 offset. I assume the wheels are 9"?
For me I'm running net ET17, but wheels are 8.5" width (19" wheel)
There's a long thread on the other big Audi forum (AZ) about spacers. I feel like other are running the 12/15 setup with your wheels without issues.
Have you seen evidence of rubbing?
Yes, the wheels are 9".
The person who checks in the cars at the service area was the person that told me that all four wheels were rubbing. I don't think that they would deceive me about something like spacers, would they?
I'm going to put this chapter behind me. I'm satisfied with the stance I have.
Is there any concern with the tires rubbing? Stock wheels I presume? Many members run 15mm spacers without problems.
Is an alignment required afterwards? Never heard of needing an alignment.
How do they get mounted? Do the spacers come with flush studs that mount them to the car, or do I buy longer studs that go through the wheels & spacers? The spacers usually comes with the longer bolts included.
Scrub radius change. Can this be corrected by an alignment? Is this anything to be worried about? Not if you keep the wheel and tire diameter very close in size to the stock OEM tire.
What are the downsides of using spacers? This is my favorite answer: You will have problems if you go too big like this, with just 10mm should have no issues.
