It might be good idea to keep the shade closed when the sunroof is closed because of this: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...tered-2985162/
On the B9 cars you can open the shade when the sunroof is closed for more light/visibility. I know someone on AZ said it's a violent explosion when it occurs, like a 12 gauge shotgun going off right above your head!
Did anyone know just how many sunroofs(all manufacturers not just Audi) explode today, it's unbelievable: https://www.google.com/search?q=sunr...ih=795&dpr=2.1
This is scary! I think I will keep my shade closed to avoid a "glass shower." Thinking about installing a very thin PFF on the underside of the sunroof (inside of car) so if it does explode it will stay intact.

Trying to find out how many sunroofs are spontaneously exploding?
Sounds like a real head scratcher

The shade provides perfect airflow during the winter months. Nice to be warm and not feel stuffy.

I had a 2018 Q5 for 3 years, and now have a 2021 Q5 for the past 2 1/2 years and have had no issues whatsoever with the sunroofs on either car. And I've lived in severe conditions- frigid/rainy Northern Michigan and now in the California desert. No leaks, no creaks, no issues.
