Default Insane. Yeah, this shouldn't be allowed, you can take the car, lock it up whatever. But it's not

your property to turn into a squad car, period, it's not their stuff, and as far as I'm concerned is the actions of what you would find in a terroristic state not the U.S.A.

Default Doubt it.

a buddy of mine drove an S6 and Germany, and "cannot" break through the 155 governor. "momentum does not carry you to 170, or 160, with that kind of drag at that speed.

Even IF this is true, your "story" of recklessness on a public highway (i-95, a well-travelled highway) is not even amusing. As others have told you, go post somehwere else.

To everyone else, sorry for responding like this- i usually do not respond to such posts as this. And V10audi, if you think i will respond to any of your rebuttals to this, i will not. i will just read your ignorance.

irresponsible people, such as v10audi, make a bad name for us all...

Default I would say the S5 driver had more sense to ease up...

...racing on public roads = not okay. Take it to the track. NH has 1/4 mile drags on Fridays, and NAAC has high performance driving events in the spring, summer, or fall.

Or...keep driving like that and end up a stain on the road, just don't take anyone else with you...your choice.

Easy there chief, it all depends on conditions and circumstances. Bit of a 'troll' post though...

Default On your X-Box? Even so, so what? My allroad would humble any S6 or RS6.

Seems like sort of a Napoleonic small-tool post for you to make on this forum, especially with your complete lack of humility.

If you need to brag, it's more polite (if that word can be used in this case) to do so on your own board, namely the C6 board.

Makes me think you can find the gas pedal but you can't read.

And who removed the governor on your car? 170 what? MPH? What other modifications have you made beside removing the governor?

The other possibility is you don't own more than a computer, and are new at it; 55 posts, no photos?

Default Are you sure? I've tried that in other Audis and no-go, no way, it just cuts the fuel.

Most of them will slow you 'softly' but, there's no getting beyond it in my experience. Haven't tried it in anything newer than an 07 Q7 and A4 3.0 cab. (both limited around 135 IIRC)

Default Once you get past 100, wind resistance and HP are all that matter. if Cd is ~equal, more HP wins.

i don't know the Cd of the S6 vs S5 or the weight, but I'd guess Cd is similar, but weight is greater on the S6. However, at high speed Cd is the bigger deterrent vs weight, so more HP carries the car to ever higher speeds faster if Cd's are relatively similar.

Gearing is also of some interest, of course.

Default S6 (at least not all) are not limited

S6s are not limited, have hit 173-176 per speedo and confirmed with GPS based handheld device whith was within a few %.
