Heh, nitpicking my own post: R8 is an all-wheel mid-rear arrangement, not rear mid-rear. Doh!

I wouldn't mind picking up a couple year old Cayman S as a weekend car and tackle the coastal roads in Oregon. But for a day-to-day driver, I'm opting for an S5.

2007 Cayman S are on the cheap right now! Oh, and Porsche is the most reliable brand according to JD Power.

CR and True Delta beg to differ. Unless JD Power is 100% in agreement with CR and True Delta, JD Power is 100% Grade A trash.

CR and True Delta match the real world experiences of my family, my friends and even complete strangers where as JD Power only matches the real world experiences of my family, my friends and even complete strangers when they are 100% in agreement with DR and True Delta. Otherwise, JD Power mismatches the real world experiences of my family, my friends and even complete strangers.

Sorry SisforSpeed, but your argument is invalid and weak.

hey, looks who's back with his buddies at CR and True Delta (and JDP&A-----ONLY if they are in agreement with him and his buddies at CR and True Delta)!

Why did it take you so long (10 minutes) to respond? I see you got some new supporters- friends, family, and strangers.

Anyone mentions quality, you're as reliable as a sunrise. It's also funny how you come in with all this "shock and awe" approach, eeeeeeeevery time.

please explain, in detail, how JDP & A mistmatches the real world experience. For some reason i bet you will not...

Porsche anything trumps Audi anything - period!! Get the F---ing P-Mobile and be done with it. I have had Porsches, I know. Years ago I had a new 1988 911 I callled "the cure" (for ugliness). Believe me it worked for me -I met and married a beauty I'd never have gotten otherwise! Actually, I didn't need "the cure", but I am sure it helped - that plus charm, etc.

Do you speak from experience? It seems to me even with snows the really wide tires on the 911 would not do well in anything beyond light snow. I know several 911 owners and not one takes their car out if snow's in the forecast.

My Opinion I guess then. Had a caymans the most reliable car my xxx. Two struts. 2 catalytic converters. Engine torn down twice for sticky valve. new coil packs. new shifter cable. new front hub should i keep going. The S5 handles and moves in every way the cayman s could. It is much "prettier than a porsche except a Carrera GT maybe. All remember a Porsche is just another VW brand now. Audi is the bigger brother.

In my Porsche circle there is a guy with a Speed Yellow/Black 993 Turbo. It's his only car and does very well in the winter...
