Default 2010 A5 2.0T Grille

Saw the 2.0T at my local dealer yesterday in the metal. Both were Premium Plus with 19" Sport Package only and black interior - one Meteor Gray and the other Brilliant Black. Was wondering if anyone else noticed that the grille is now a matte black instead of the glossy black seen on the '08 and '09 3.2 models. Is this detail true only for 2.0Ts or will this be true for the 3.2s just the same? Started thinking maybe it changes to glossy black grille at Prestige or S-Line trim levels for either engine choice. Any thoughts/intel?

Here's an example of what I'm describing.

I do not know but I suspect it will be like the A4 was for '09.

Gloss black grill and filler plate for the 3.2.
Matte dark gray for the 2.0T.

I know that I really like my gloss black grill with my black A5. I wouldn't be happy with the matte black/grey.

I would. In fact, I was looking in to ways to cover the chrome details of the car (meteor gray) with a matte or satin black/gray finish, as the de-chromed look of later A4's looks great. One of my favorite things about my 9-3 was that it had almost no chrome.

It works just like on the A4 - the 2.0T gets the matte gray grille and the 3.2 gets the black glossy grille. Other than the finish the design is identical.

I like the matte gray grille on my quartz gray 2.0T, but it definitely comes down to personal preference and body color.

I agree with Scott, ultimately it comes down to personal taste. For me, I was going to change out the glossy black grill for my meteor gray anyways.
