I went to the dealer today and ask for a Phantom Black, automatic 2010 S5, with the prestige package. The dealer quoted me with a 'discount' price of 61k. Do you guys think this is reasonable? I was bargaining for 59k and currently waiting on the dealer to get back at me. S5 owners, what did you pay? (sorry if there's a thread already made)

Even if that price includes the destination fee, it's still about 1k over msrp. Maybe there were some additional options on the car that you were unaware of.

just prestige only has a msrp of 59300 what other packs are on the car? what color int. r u getting?

That's pretty much it. Just prestige + Phantom Black + Black interior and they quoted me 61,700 to be exact. The manager came out and said the best price he can do is 61k as S5 is 'selling like hot cake'.

Some dealerships are pricing the cars above msrp. I'm sure if you looked around you can find one that can give you a price atleast a few hundred under.

Well, I'm asking the dealer 59k for the car. I've input the criteria I wanted on Edmunds.com and the MSRP is 60,600 and invoice is 56,418. So if the dealer follow through with the 59k price, do you guys think I should proceed with the purchase?

It depends on the Price of the Prestige package... I Just picked up my S5 same combo with the edition of Carbon Fiber Inlays and the sticker was just under $60k... I got the price of $3850ish for the prestige, but I have heard that the prestige package is supposedly $5900 now. If the prestige is going for $5900 now, then that price doesnt appear to be too far off.

I just looked at my window sticker. The Prestige package was $3850 and the total cost of the car, including delivery, was $59250.

The prestige package is now $5,700 and that 59k is w/o destination fee. Guess I'll be paying much more than you w/o the carbon fiber inlay...

Where are you located? I got my for 1,700 over invoice. There are a lot of people getting $500-$2000 over invoice cost. The others are right, initially, Prestige was ~$3800, but it's now $5,700.

It was a mistake that the early buyers enjoyed, but people taking delivery after 20 August are getting the higher price. I have my window sticker before and after the price increase as I took delivery literally minutes before they were to change the price.
