2010 V8 S5 or 2011 V6T S5? Need some help!!

However, this really doesn't prove anything about when we might (or might not) see the 3.0T in the S5. But if it doesn't show up, I might be tempted to get something other than an S5 next year ...

Dream on, ayecarumba. The S5 Coupe will NOT (I repeat, NOT) have the V8 forever. That is simply bogus.
The S5 Coupe could very well still have the V8 for model year 2011.
But either way, if the S5 Coupe still has the V8 for MY2011 or if the S5 Coupe has a supercharged V6 beginning with model year 2011, the S5 Coupe will most definitely have a supercharged V6 from model year 2012 to the next redesign of all Audis on the B8 platform.

Audi needs to have options for its customers so there is an L4T, V6 and V6T, V8 and V8 Upgraded in RS5. I doubt they will make an S5 with a V6T, I do however fell there may be a V8-DSG for 2011 on S5. Apparently in Europe, S5-V8 are selling real good and there isn't much concern for a V6T. If we take into account that a gallon of premium gas in germany cost around $12, this means that customers don't care if the V8 is a gas guzzler at all.
Other than you, ayecarumba, everybody knows that the S5 Coupe will get the S/C V6 in place of the V8 (and the far superior in every conceivable way and, overall, excellent S Tronic in place of the dinosaur and, overall, mediocre at best Tiptronic) in late calendar year 2011 for model year 2012 at the absolute latest. There are no ands, buts or ifs about it. Anyway, enjoy the V8 in the S5 coupe while it lasts because it is gone from that car in a maximum of 1.5 calendar years from now.
