2012 Audi A5
Hi all,
I am considering (ok, maybe more like pretty much in love and sold on) buying a 2012 Audi A5. I was wondering if anyone could give me any idea of any issues/things to look out for/advice/love for the 2012 A5?!
I have never had an Audi before, and never bought a car on my own from a dealer so I just wanted to make sure I was as informed as can be!
It has 60,000 miles, never been in an accident, and had every scheduled maintenance check. The list price is $26,000
One thing I was worried about because I know it's expensive, is the timing belt, does it have one that will need to be changed soon? I looked through the maintenance log, there is no mention of it in there for the A5.
Many many thanks for any help/ideas!

I'm assuming the car is equipped with the 4-cyclinder 2.0T TFSI engine. If so there is no timing belt and instead a timing chain which Audi states is a non-serviceable item and should last the lifetime of the vehicle. However, there is a well-documented excessive oil consumption issue for some of these engines and you would be remiss not to question the dealer extensively about it. I'm rather new to this board but there are others who no doubt can corroborate my information. What trim level is the car?

Depending on the trim level and added features the offered price of $26k could be a good deal or not so hot. Also is it CPO or sold without warranty.
Check the tires and brake pads/rotors for amt of wear. That might be your next expense at 60k miles.
Finally I believe it was the model year 2011 and earlier A5s that had the engine oil leak problem.
