2013 S5 standard wheels/tires
Anyone have any photos of what the S5 looks like with the standard 18" parallel spoke S design wheels for 2013? The US configurator does have it as you build the car but it does not give a very good sense of what it looks like and from what I can tell, the rest of the US Audi site does not have a photo of them.
Also, those wheels have summer tires on them but the optional 19" wheels have summer performance tires. Is there a big difference here and does anyone here have similar 'summer tires' and still use them in a Northeast winter?

I ordered the S5 with the standard 18" wheels and summer performance tires for pickup in Ingolstadt. The S5 was delivered with what I consider the best summer performance tire on the market: Michelin Pilot Sport 3. Tire Rack lists them for just under $300 each in 18".
Here are some pics of the wheel and the car.

I wonder how an S5 Cabriolet would ride on the 18s. I bailed on one right away because I couldn't stand the ride on the broken streets of Cleveland. I loved the engine but couldn't stand to ride in the car.

Many folks have stated in here and other forums, that for driving in those climates, they will use 18" wheels with winter tires, and save the 19's to run in the milder seasons with the high perf tires. Makes perfect sense to me, but I'm in So. Calif., so we run high perf all year long. A lot to like about a climate where it rarely drops below 40 F, and rains about 7 times a year!
