Default 2015 Sunroof vs Moonroof

Long story short, I came from a A4 which had a moonroof. The only time I used it is in the summer time or when I need to smoke. Now, for the new S5 I have the option of getting one with a sunroof vs. a moonroof. Does anyone have an opinion about this? (FYI, I do like the panoramic view on the sunroof)

The glass roof on the 2015 S5 does not open. It does pop up in the rear as a vent.

that's correct it only tilts upward .. the roof on most coupes are curved that doesn't allow a sunroof.. my 350z didn't have one either not even a moon roof

Yes, I miss the ability to slide the glass back but the moonroof is huge so even closed it makes the S5 feel really open. If you smoke, you can also tilt the roof and open the driver's window with no turbulence.

I see that you have the adaptive suspension, do you think that's a must have feature like the sports diff?

My S5 corners like it's on rails, so I would say at least the Sport Differential is a must. I can never really tell what the Adaptive Suspension is doing, but the S5 soaks up bumps a lot better than the Lexus GS F Sport I traded for it so I guess it is working. I assume you will have Drive Select that lets you select steering, gearing, suspension, etc. I usually leave it in Auto but Dynamic is lots of fun.

You will not regret getting this car. I owned a '10 S5 Cab and an '11 S5 Cab with the same engine, and when you transfer that to a coupe with more structural rigidity it translates into "amazing".

After driving a pregnant wife around for 37 weeks.. trust me when i tell you the Adaptive Suspension makes a huge difference.. so much of a difference i can usually see it on her face when i'm in Dynamic Mode and i think oh shoot.. i forgot to go to comfort ... i would say if i wasnt in that situation i probably wouldn't have noticed as much

Sorry, yes I definitely feel a difference in Comfort and Dynamic. I've only had the car for several weeks so I'm still trying to figure out the nuances.

We have a sunroof on our S4. Never use it over 40 mph ...too noisy.

RS5 moonroof much quieter .

If you want a suntan get a cabriolet

Best
