2016 A5 Convertible top issue - top won't close due to drooping headliner
We have a problem with our 2016 A5 Cabriolet, where the top won't close, due to a broken plastic bracket, located between the top and the headliner, close to the rear window. As a result the top can't close because the headliner is drooping and catching the aluminum cross member holding the headrests.
I stopped by one local dealership and I was told that I need a new top, but I did some research and I found two different repair kits available with the following part numbers:
8F0898924A "Convertible top repair kit"
and
8F0898051A "Headliner repair kit"
My question is, does anyone know if I can use any of these kits to fix the problem, and where I can find the repair instructions that go along with the repair kit? I don't mind buying a 1-day subscription for erWin, but I am not sure if I will be able to find what I need there, or how to search for that specific manual.
Any help / direction would be appreciated.
