The Bentley Continental GT and A8 are built on the same platform. I mean of course only a real non-car person could confuse the A5 for any bentley model but the lineage maybe be there in terms of coupe design, who knows?

I really thought it would be somewhat useless, but the push button start and door unlock is nice and the adaptive headlights (I live out in the sticks full of trees and deer) are worth every penny. Its a very cool feature.
I think the stares, looks, comments etc is the best thing. I haven't had a car that turns heads in years. I saw a trooper turning the other day when I was at a stop and his eyes followed my car the entire turn. I am sure he was sizing it up thinking what ticket can I give that guy just for sitting there.

I ordered mine with pale gray (wanted light seats this time) but am a little concerned if the sport seats are that much better!

you should be able to find both versions at a dealer with a couple demos. my dealer has had both sport- and non-sport A5's, and if they have only a non-sport but an S5 that should suffice too.
i dont think they are HORRIBLE, any i think that any seat is going to hurt your *** aftre 5+hours in thecar, but the sports are more comfortable (actully i more notice the lack of side-hugging bolstering absent) than the non-sport)

I saw the S-line seats at the dealer and they definately look better. I really like the sport seats. Having said that, I decided to get a 'dark exterior' with a 'light interior'.... DSB/pale grey... which is only available on non-Sline's... Thanks for the info!

Yeah, the regular seats aren't "miserable" by any means, they are better than the old sport seats on my 04 A4, but they aren't the greatest.
