There's the RS 6 with 580 hp that costs €105,550 and the base A6 with 4 cylinder diesels that are about 1/5th the price.
Audi, Mercedes and BMW have been doing this for years, they're just bringing more of the lower engine models over to the states now.
It may make your S5 less exclusive in a way, but the A5 is the car it's based on- all of the models in the A5 range, not just the V6's.

heavy engine, relatively modest output. This one has more torque than the 3.2, (258 lb/ft vs. 243 lb/ft), is lighter, and has much more aftermarket tuning potential. I could see a chipped one running with an S5.

The V8 makes it a luxury GT.
Chip the 2.0T and I think it would turn into to a real sports coupe. Mostly from the nature of the power delivery and reduced weight up front.
Not saying one is better than the other, it's a matter of personal preference. I would prefer the latter though.

Wow! I had no idea! For some reason it just looks like a heavy car. I guess I should have just looked at the specs. But you're right I'd like to place my order as well!
