zactly; remove that resonator they have, and you're set in terms of "good sound"
my brother's gti sounds pretty good too, stock, resonator in place (not sure if it's any diff in exhaust compared to the a3, doubt it)

I doubt the sunroof alone adds 150lbs, but I agree they'll find a way to pork up the US version...
Power seats, 10 airbags, sunroof, etc...
FYI, people have weighed the sunroof on B5 S4s and the whole assembly with glass weighs about 60lbs. The glass alone is less than 40lbs, iirc.
