As for Phantom vs DSB, I may be in the minority here but I vote for DSB. Both seem to have similar upkeep requirements but DSB is far more rare. It'll look black at night but in the sun the blue will come out; very nice IMHO.

As for the grille, swapping out the stock platinum gray S5 grille for the gloss black A5 S-line grille is a popular mod amongst S5-owners because many do not like the chrome vertical slats on the S grilles. On a dark-colored car tho, I think a gray grille looks better since it provides contrast. This is the same reason why I dislike black wheels; oftentimes they get lost in the tires since there's no contrast to highlight them. At one time I considered getting a gloss black grille for my meteor A4 but since meteor looks dark in a lot of different lighting conditions, the stock gray grille looks far better IMHO.
