I was at my local audi dealer today in Warrington PA (Holberts). They had an S5 cab waiting to be delivered. Asked him how long special orders are taking for delivery. He then tells me that today (March 17th, 2010) is the last day you can special order a 2010 A5/S5 cab!!!
Has anyone else heard that? Seems rediculous since its only March. Unless Audi is planing on making some changes for 2011. 6 speed, 6 speed, 6 speed. please audi gods.

This is just guesswork on my part, but I think what you're seeing is the normal sequencing of production as the model year ends. I don't believe Audi is in continuous production of certain models, especially low volume ones like the A5/S5. So there might be "runs" of these models scheduled in advance, and any special orders probably have to fall within those runs. By summer (at the latest) Audi is already in production of the next model year's cars. Hence the timeframe your dealer is providing. I doubt that it has anything to do with changes for '011. Perhaps there are some AudiWorld members with more exact information about the production process? . . .
