Default You will get spanked....

Like Boston Driver said...there is always something better around the corner. Even if you bought the S5 and thought you were golden, he can go buy a $500 piggyback chip and you're in the hole once again.

I'm not going to hash out the pros/cons of the A5 and 335i. You just need to go drive them.

Default Re: A5 V. BMW

I wanted to keep "being different" myself. I just couldn't pass up on the 335i package this time. BTW..I LOVE the pic of your car in your sig.

To me, the absolute perfect car would be the S5 with a 335i engine, transmission (Steptronic) 50/50 weight balance.

Default Re: Just using it as an example...shouldnt you be on a BMW forum somewhere?

"you seem to have nothing but derogatory comments about Audi..."

- No, Not Audi as a whole but just the A5's and A4's performance. Audi builds great cars, its just that their lower sedan/coupe offerings are always slow-pokes. Facts are facts.

I have said positive things about the A5 (on this very thread). "The A5 is a very nice car aesthetically" Yep, I said that. "the A5 is a very nice car", I said that too. Maybe I'm weighed more towards the derogatory side, but the A5 leaves me no choice. Sorry

Default If they just put a turbo on top of my V8 I would be in pure bliss...

rather than just bliss. The only thing attractive to me about the BMW would be the turbo and ability to tune down the road. BMWs handle great as well, but this is the best audi I have had in terms of handling and love having AWD.

My last BMW was a 1995 328isa -- it was a great car and handled like a dream. Boy that was a long time ago now....

Default <Teen Chat>

and no with an A5 make sure you carefully select your fight.. just stay away from any 335 unless you decide to buy one.. it doesn't have to be the same one as your brother, it can be a different color.. or sedan...

The main problem is not the car, is the personallity.

Default It is exactly the same thing. You are correct in one thing, you do get what.......

you pay for. Not everyone is worried about 0-60 times, Comparing the Subie and Evo to the BMW is no different when comparing an Accord coupe to the A5. Your logic is flawed if you do not see this. If performance is your only concern, go get an Evo and save yourself a lot of money.

- Performance isn't my only concern. It is a concern though.

The EVO is out of the question because it simply doesn't offer enough luxury (among other things).

The A5 and 335 are not too far apart in luxury. They are far apart in performance though.

The rain wont make much of a difference. Especailly if it's an XI. Maybe in the snow.

Default I would disagree. The A5 offers much more luxury, a world class leading AWD system.......

it is a better looking car from every angle, offers more in the way of technical innovation, it is a bit larger both exterior and interior, and fit and finish is better.

Performance is not on par with the 335 but it is on the 328 coupe which is it's competitor. The S5 competes with the 335 and the RS5 will compete with the M3. The Audi versions cost a bit more but they are all nicer cars compared to their BMW counterparts.
